No motors, no hinges, nothing to jam. One sheet of electrochromic film, a sealed controller and a remote — engineered to disappear into the car.
One layer does the work
The same film used in luxury privacy glass sits between two sealed panes. Apply a small voltage and the particles align — the plate goes solid black. Cut the voltage and it clears again. Nothing slides, folds or flips.
Thin enough to disappear
Machined edge, low profile, matte face. It reads as part of the car rather than an accessory bolted onto it — and it is sealed against rain, snow, dust and heat.
Everything, nothing extra
Controller, wireless remote, wiring harness, 12V plug, extension cable and mounting hardware. No cutting, no drilling, no hardwiring — it runs off a 12V socket and comes apart as easily as it goes on.

Questions.
Will it fit my car?
ECLIPSE comes in two sizes: NA (12" × 6") for US and Canadian plates, and EU (520 × 110mm) for the long European standard. Your plate must be flat and under 2mm thick to seat in the bracket — measure before ordering if your country uses a shorter format.
How does installation work?
Pry the factory badge off (warm it, floss the adhesive, plastic trim tool). Behind it are two factory pin holes — on virtually every BMW. Antenna wire through one, power wires through the other, then plug into your trunk 12V socket or connect the direct wires to the fuse box. Some of the newest models lack the pin holes — a small thin hole can be drilled and HALO covers it completely. Under 30 minutes, fully reversible. Full walkthrough on the Installation Guide.
How is HALO powered?
About 10 minutes. Mount the bracket, route the cable, plug into your 12V socket or hardwire it. No cutting and no permanent modification — fully reversible.
Can I upload my own content?
Electrochromic film, the same technology used in luxury privacy glass. One tap of the remote switches it fully opaque or back to 83% clear in 0.01ms — silent, with no moving parts.
